Welcome! You are here because you have been booked to perform at the 10th Cleethorpes Folk & Cider Festival. Here are instructions, and details of housekeeping and other arrangements to help make everything run smoothly.
If you haven't already, please let me know your technical requirements for Tony, our sound engineer for the weekend, ideally by Monday 14th May. Either text it to me on 07982 244047, or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
On the day of your performance, please arrive no later than ONE HOUR before you are due to perform. On arrival, please come and find one of us. Large items can be offloaded from Meridian Road.
There should be plenty of punters around to direct you to one of us. Look out for me (Tracey Smith), Sue Naylor, Sime Naylor, Amy Naylor or Joe Gray. There is some free parking for performers only in the car park directly behind the craft units on a first come, first served basis. Alternatively there are Pay & Display car parks adjacent to the station on either side (see maps below).
Turnaround times are only 15 minutes between acts, so performers will need to have everything ready for a quick set up after the previous act has finished. There will be space available in the backstage area to assemble items such as drum kits, so that such items can be moved quickly into place on stage. There will be no sound check as such, just a line check then Tony will mix on the fly. At the end of your performance, please exit the stage as quickly as possible to make way for the next act.
PAYMENT Payment is by BACS transfer. I will need a sort code and bank account number from each act so that the agreed fee can be paid directly into your bank account by the management of the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway. The payment should reach your account by Wednesday 30th May. I NEED THIS INFORMATION BY 14th MAY. ANY DELAY MAY MEAN A DELAY IN PAYMENT
If you wish to sell merchandise, please feel free, but if you could ask your customers to come to you away from the stage that would be most helpful, so that the technicians have plenty of space to assemble the next act.
We are delighted to have Roger Beard as our MC again this year. He spends a lot of time researching our acts, so that he can give an informed introduction before you play. If there's anything in particular you would like him to say about you, please let him know when you arrive.
We pride ourselves that in the 9 years the festival has been running, we have never found ourselves behind schedule. This is due to the professionalism of the performers, and the efficiency of our sound and tech crew. We hope that we can carry on this tradition.
If I've missed anything, or there's any other information you think it would be useful to have on this page, please contact me through the usual channels.
I will have my mobile on throughout the weekend, but may not hear it. If you are unsuccessful in getting hold of me on 07982 244047 you can try any of these alternative numbers.
